The answers to the frequently asked questions.
1) I am a label, how can I have my disco-graphic production distributed in digital format by ODD?
Write an e-mail to Luciano Fricchetti Trevisan, indicating the typology and consistency of your catalogue (even just with a link to your web site) and your telephone contacts. We will contact you as soon as possible with the detailed proposal.
2) Does ODD distribute also discography records made by music publishers and/or producers?
Yes.
3) I am an artist which self-produces its own discography records, can I be distributed by ODD?
ODD offers digital distribution services mainly to labels, producers and music publishers.
Regarding artists’ self-productions, we can take into consideration the offers if we could deal with not only one album, but with the various works of the same artist.
4) How much does digital distribution service cost?
There is no cost, in the meaning that there is no fixed cost, ODD deals with commission on the basis of effective sales.
5) Does ODD deal also with physical distribution?
No. We only deal with digital distribution, that’s why you can organize or keep classic distribution and/or by correspondence of your CD as you prefer.
6) Once the contract is signed what should I provide practically?
For each CD we will need:
- 2 copies of original CD or as an alternative, if it doesn’t exist or if this is a pre-release, 2 copies on CDR;
- 1 file jpg with the image of the cover 1400x1400 pixel (square), 300 dpi.
- 1 metadata file in Excel (according to the sample provided by ODD) compiled with titles, authors, ISRC, barcode, etc.
7) Is it possible to give you for distribution also a CD that has never been physically released before?
Yes. Just as in the case of physical CD, it is necessary however to make a cover, assign a barcode, ISRC codes to tracks and to provide other necessary information (titles, authors, style, etc.)
8) Can ODD compile metadata files and elaborate covers?
Yes. It will be taken into consideration at the time of negotiations.
9) Our records don’t have barcode, can ODD assign it?
Yes. ODD can assign barcode to your CD without any cost.
10) What is ISRC code?
It is the alphanumeric code that identifies in an univocal way every recording of a music track. To assign it you need to have your enterprise code. To apply for an ISRC Registrant Code, please consult your territory’s National ISRC Agency after a written request you will get it completely free of charge.

11) How and where the requested material is sent?
The metadata files and the folders are sent via email to Ossigeno Srl (or via ftp in case of big amount of files), while the CDs should be sent via standard mail to Ossigeno Srl via Marovich 5 - 30174 Chirignago Venezia (Italy).
